A Gosthi on Swachhata Day was organized with farmers and villagers at Karnal on 18th Dec. 2022 by
ICAR-CSSRI, Karnal. During the event, the issue and status of community level sanitation as well as
livelihood diversification through off farm portfolio was discussed, and farmers were briefed about
the state and central government policies relating to the interface of Swachhata and Agriculture.
Farmers were motivated not to burn the crop and other organic residues, and were provided
knowledge and information about various package and practices required to decompose the kitchen
and farm wastes. A total of 17 ladies farmer participants took part in this Goshthi.
