The University will be hosting the Regional Agriculture Fair (RAF) for the East Region of the country during 22-24 Feb, 2026 on the theme “Viksit Krishi- Unnat Bharat”. Technology stalls and farmers from Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and other states will participate. This RAF will showcase & sensitise farmers about “Viksit Krishi”-advancement of new agricultural technologies in field crops, horticulture, agroforestry, fisheries, animal science and other allied sectors, including agripreneurs. The dream of “Unnat Bharat” can only be fulfilled through achieving the “Viksit Krishi” supplemented with the innovative technological intervention, fostering the agrarian economy. The Regional Agriculture Fair will also provide a platform for communication & collaboration between industry and government institutes in enabling smart, sustainable agriculture practices.
Objectives of Regional Agriculture Fair
The RAF is aimed at providing access and awareness to modern farm technologies and a potential Industry- Farmers platform, along with diversification of a high-value agriculture with emerging trends and help the farmers for sustainable livelihood. With the support from DARE, MoA&FW, Gol, this RAF will facilitate the farming community and other stakeholders with an array of innovative, improved farming technology in agriculture and allied science, putting forward the motto of Agriculture with Science and pave the way for better transfer of technology applicable to the Region.
