The Director, along with Dr. M. Nedunchezhiyan, conducted a monitoring and review visit of the AICRP on Tuber Crops research programmes at the Central Experimental Station, Wakavali, Maharashtra.
The team visited ongoing field experiments, interacted with tuber crop farmers in Dapoli, and visited farmers’ fields in Guhagar.
They also participated in a farmers’ training programme at Guhagar, which witnessed the active participation of about 200 farmers.
During the visit, the Director met Dr. Sanjay G. Bhave, Vice-Chancellor, DrBSKKV, and held discussions on strengthening and expanding tuber crops research and development programmes.
