How to check PM-KISAN beneficiary status?

PM-KISAN is a useful scheme for farmers because it gives financial support directly into the bank account in instalments. Many farmers register successfully, but later they are not sure whether their name is in the beneficiary list, whether instalments are approved, or why a payment is pending. That is why checking PM-KISAN beneficiary status regularly is important. It helps farmers confirm that their details are correct and avoid missing instalments due to small mistakes like wrong Aadhaar number, bank mismatch, or incomplete e-KYC.

The simplest way to check PM-KISAN beneficiary status is through the official PM-KISAN website using a mobile phone or computer. Farmers do not need to visit offices again and again if they can check the status online. Usually, the status can be checked using one of these details: Aadhaar number, mobile number, or bank account number (depending on what option is available). Before checking, keep your Aadhaar card and mobile number handy, because an OTP may be needed for verification.

When you open the PM-KISAN portal, you will see an option to check “Beneficiary Status” or “Know Your Status.” After clicking it, the system will ask you to enter your Aadhaar number or other required details. Once you submit, the page shows your registration details and payment information. You can see whether your name is approved, how many instalments have been paid, the date of each instalment, and whether any instalment is pending. If an instalment is pending, the portal often shows the reason, such as “e-KYC not done,” “Aadhaar not linked,” “bank account invalid,” or “land record issue.”

Another useful option is checking the beneficiary list village-wise. This is helpful when a farmer wants to confirm whether their name is included in the list uploaded for their village. In the PM-KISAN portal, there is usually a section where you select your state, district, sub-district, block, and village. After selecting these, the beneficiary list appears and you can search your name. This method is useful when you are not sure about your registered mobile number or Aadhaar details.

If you find that your status shows pending due to e-KYC, then completing e-KYC should be your first step. Many payments are stopped when e-KYC is not completed. Farmers can do e-KYC through the portal if they have Aadhaar-linked mobile number, or they can do it through a Common Service Centre (CSC) using biometric verification. After e-KYC, it may take some time for the system to update, so check again after a few days.

If the issue is related to bank account, first check that your bank account number and IFSC code are correct and active. Sometimes instalments fail due to closed accounts, wrong account numbers, or account not linked properly. In such cases, farmers should visit their bank and confirm Aadhaar-bank linking and account status. After that, update correct bank details through the local agriculture office or CSC, as per local process.

If the status shows land record mismatch or verification pending, it usually means the land details are not matching with government records. This can happen if land is in another family member’s name, if records are not updated after sale or inheritance, or if there is spelling mismatch. For this, farmers may need to visit the local revenue office or agriculture department to correct land records and complete verification.

For farmers who are not comfortable with online checking, the easiest help is CSC or local agriculture office. They can check the status and also guide on corrections. It is good to keep a record of registration number, Aadhaar number, and bank details.

In simple terms, to check PM-KISAN beneficiary status, use the PM-KISAN portal to view beneficiary status or village list, confirm instalment dates, and check the reason for any pending payment. If there is a problem, most issues are solved by completing e-KYC, correcting bank details, or updating land records. Regular checking ensures the farmer receives instalments on time without delay.
