This event was organized by Pashu Vigyan Kendra (PVK), Waghai,
operational under the College of Veterinary Science and AH, Kamdhenu
University, Navsari campus, Navsari, on 11th October 2025 at Jamlapada
(Rambhas) village of Waghai, Dang. This impactful programme was
successfully organized under the leadership of Dr. Rana Ranjeet Singh
(In-Charge PVK), under the valuable guidance of Dr. V. S. Dabas (Principal,
College of Veterinary Science & A.H., KU, Navsari campus, Navsari) and
Dr. M. M. Trivedi (Director of Extension Education, Kamdhenu University).
A total of 54 livestock farmers participated in the programme, including
45 male and 9 female farmers. The event began at 10.00 AM with a welcome
and an introductory address by Dr. Sunil Kapadi (Veterinary Officer) on the
objectives and ongoing initiatives of PVK in empowering livestock farmers.
Dr. Utsavbhai Surati, Assistant Professor (AGB) gave detailed information
about the objectives of ‘PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana’. From 11:30 AM
onwards, participants along with all the staff members joined the live webcast of
launch of the PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana and address to the farmers by
Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. After Hon’ble PM’s address,
Dr. Mahesh Madhavatar, Assistant Professor (LPM), provided detailed
information on ‘Increasing farmers’ income through organic farming’. The
session concluded with an open interaction where specialists addressed farmers’
queries with practical solutions.
Such initiatives reaffirm PVK Waghai’s commitment to building capacity among rural farmers and promoting scientific livestock farming for sustainable
rural development.
