On farm training on scientific crop and livestock production technologies was conducted by Division of Transfer of Technology and Training and SCSP at Chanchalwa village, Balesar tehsil, Jodhpur district on 26th June 2025. A total of 50 farmers including 18 farm women participated in the program. The scientific practices in green gram cultivation such as use of improved seeds, seed treatment, timely sowing etc. were explained to the farmers. Seed treatment of green gram seed with mishrith marusena was demonstrated to the farmers, highlighting its importance in control of soil borne diseases in kharif crops. Dr. Dipika Hajong demonstrated the method of feeding multi nutrient feed block to cattle and buffaloes, highlighting its importance for nutritional benefits and proper feeding techniques. Dr. Poonam Kalash conducted an informative session for farm women, focusing on the establishment of nutri-gardens and cultivation of vegetables and fruits as part of backyard farming initiatives. The program was coordinated by Drs. Poonam Kalash, Dipika Hajong and Shri Jugal Kishore.
After the training, quality seeds of green gram (IPM 205-7) and marusena were distributed to the farmers for kharif 2025 demonstration. Multi Nutrient feed Blocks were also distributed to farmers owning cattle and buffaloes.
