The Netherland delegation comprising, Ms Bernice Bockting, International Project Manager, Export Partner; (2) Mr Robertus Cornelis Johannes, General Manager/CEO, Horti XS and (3) Mr Jorik Bremer, Director Sales, Hudson River Biotechnology coordinated by Mr Aun Alia, Assistant Director, Trade Promotion Council of India visited IARI on 7th Jan 2025.
The delegates were received by Dr Viswanathan C., Joint Director (Research), ICAR-IARI at Prof MS Swaminathan Library Conference hall, IARI. The delegates were appraised about the significant achievement of ICAR-IARI in research, education and extension and its contribution in transforming the agricultural economy from green revolution to sustainable food security. The various school coordinators explained about the technologies developed in each of the six schools of IARI. The delegates were representing different type of industry and they expressed various areas of collaboration such as (1) designing and development of greenhouses, (2) in facilitating the FTO of CRISPR gene editing technology which is available with them and (3) export of technologies. The delegates visited the Nanaji Deshmukh Plant Phenomics Centre, Integrated Farming System Model and the Center for Protected Cultivation Technology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.
