ICAR-Indian Institute of Rice Research, Hyderabad signed a ‘Technology License Agreement (TLA)’ for DRRH 4 rice hybrid on 19.06.2025 with M/s Krishi Vikas Sahakari Samiti Ltd, Gurugram, Haryana (through Agrinnovate India Ltd, New Delhi) for its large-scale seed production and popularization among the farming community. The licensing ceremony and exchange of documents took place on 25.06.2025 at ICAR-IIRR, Hyderabad. The DRRH-4 rice hybrid is the FIRST dry direct seeded aerobic rice hybrid, developed and released by ICAR-IIRR. It is a medium slender grain type, resistance to gall midge & rice thrips and moderate resistance to Leaf blast, Neck blast & plant hoppers. It possesses excellent grain and cooking quality features.
